Carme Juanes - Operations, Innovation, Quality, Human Resources and Training
Partner and co-founder of the consulting firm RETAIL TECH, which advises companies in the food and retail business on strategy and specialized operations; Director of the ESADECREAPOLIS Retail Forum, a platform within the ESADE ecosystem for innovation and transformation of the retail industry.
Previously, she served for 10 years as Corporate Director of Quality, R&D, Innovation and Training at The Eat Out Group, one of the leading modern restaurant groups in Spain, which owns brands such as Pans & Company, Ribs, or Dehesa Santa Maria and has a strong presence in the world of airport concessions. Before that, she held various positions at the R&D and Product divisions of Grupo Alimentario Argal, where she became Corporate Director of Quality and was a member of the Board.
She is an expert in retail, food and foodservice, with broad experience in business development driven by innovation, R&D, process optimization, project management, and product and service development, as well as talent development and training. Carme Juanes has degree in Biology with a specialty in Biochemistry from the UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and has completed postgraduate studies in Strategic and Financial Management at the University of Lleida, as well as the Senior Executive Programe at ESADE.
Carme Juanes also participates as a mentor at EMPENTA, an incubator program for innovative tech startups, and she has been a member of national and international industry associations (EMRA/Serving Europe, the European restaurant chains association, and FEHRCAREM/Spanish restaurant chain brands).
